Established in 2002 with a mission to enhance the health and well-being of residents living in northeastern Oklahoma. Residents are overly burdened by drivers impacting health and wellbeing due to poverty, limited access to health care services due to shortages of providers in rural areas and cost of care, rurality and corresponding transportation challenges, food deserts, limited opportunities, and low education achievement, poor health outcomes, and shortened lifespans.  Poverty is the underlying cause of many of these conditions, and programs and services targeting residents living at or below the poverty level are of particular interest.
