TSET Healthy Living Program Serving Cherokee County

TSET's focus, as outlined in the Oklahoma Constitution, is to reduce Oklahoma's leading cause of preventable death - tobacco use and obesity - In order to reduce cancer and cardiovascular disease. As a state grant making trust, TSET funds prevention, research, and emerging opportunities to improve the health of every Oklahoman.

Rural Communities Opioid Response Program

RCORP Rural Communities Opioid Response Program. Connecting members of the community to MAT programs, resources and prevention in Cherokee County and Delaware County. The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) is aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality of substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD), in high risk rural communities. We will advance RCORP’s overall goal by strengthening and expanding SUD/OUD prevention, treatment, and recovery services to enhance rural residents’ ability to access treatment and move towards recovery.

Rural Health Network

HIV AIDS prevention, education & support. The Free HIV Testing and Support Program endeavors to create a compassionate and educated community, where HIV testing is destigmatized, support is readily available, and individuals can lead fulfilling lives regardless of their HIV status.

Tri-County Self Management

This is a program offered to the senior and disabled adults living within Cherokee County, Muskogee County and Adair County Oklahoma with a diagnosis of diabetes, arthritis, or other chronic conditions. Cherokee County Health Services Council form a network of providers focused on aging/disabled adults with chronic conditions.

AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteers in Service to America

The AmeriCorps VISTA Program was founded in 1965, Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is a federal anti-poverty national service program designed to provide resources to nonprofit organizations and public agencies to address poverty and poverty-related problems in the United States. AmeriCorps VISTA supports efforts to address poverty by providing opportunities for Americans, 18 years of age and older, from a diverse range of backgrounds, to dedicate a year of full-time service with a sponsoring organization on a project that will create or expand programs designed to empower individuals and communities in overcoming poverty

Senior Demonstration Program

The AmeriCorps Seniors Native Nations and Indigenous Elders Senior Demonstration Program (SDP) will provide funding for projects that engage adults ages 55 and older in volunteerism in underserved indigenous and native communities. Program priorities include public health, climate, the environment, education, and economic opportunity.

AmeriCorps Seniors is open to proposals that are reflective of the needs of indigenous and native communities served by the applicant's proposed program.
